"Discover Provence"

7 days and 6 nights

This week is particularly organized for those who do not know that region, or who had only a quick look over that area, and wish to know it in a deeper way. It is dedicated to the discovery of the Eastern part of Provence, called French Riviera in the USA, and Cote d’ Azur in France..

 

Your arrival, and first day

At your arrival, we will be waiting for you either at Nice Airport, or at Cannes train station, and will drive you to the villa. If you arrive by car, you will receive precise driving directions.

After some rest and lunch, we will visit Grasse, and a perfume “factory”.
Greeting cocktail and Dinner at home

Second day: Cooking lesson and Saint Paul de Vence

In the morning I will take you to my favorite farm market to buy what we need for the cooking lesson Lunch at home Afternoon: Saint Paul de Vence, where we will visit the village, and Fondation Maeght, a museum for modern art. We will stop at another village on our way back. Dinner in a bistro in a nearby village

Third day: A full day in Nice

Shopping at the market in the historic part of Nice. Visit of the “Chateau” overlooking Nice. Lunch at the market place After lunch we will go to Cimiez, (another historic part of Nice) and visit either the Matisse Museum or the Chagall Museum, the Roman arenas, and the monastery. I will give you a cooking lesson, using what we have bought at the market. Dinner at home

Fourth Day : Antibes and Cannes

Morning; We will drive to Antibes, to visit the Picasso Museum and the old city Lunch in a bistro in the old Antibes Afternoon: A short drive to Cannes along the coast, where you will have time to see the old and new part of the city, and the Movie festival palace Dinner in a **** Restaurant to appreciate a famous chef’s cuisine

Fifth Day: Saint Tropez and Esterel

We will spend the day in Saint Tropez, one of the most famous village in Europe. On our way, we will stop at different places, such as the beaches where allied troops landed in August 1944. Saint Tropez is very pleasant “out of season”. There are less tourists, and it is delightful to stroll along the old streets, visit the port, and have a look to the beaches, and vineyards. According your interest, we will stop for a tasting in a vineyard. According the weather and your agreement, we will try to do one leg of the trip by boat, which will allow us to see the beautiful coast of Esterel

Sixth Day : Monaco

This day will be dedicated to Monaco – Monte Carlo, with the Prince’s Palace, the old city, and the breathtaking view all along. Lunch in Monaco On our way back, we will have a stop at a perched village overlooking the sea Dinner at home

Seventh day : Au Revoir

We will drive you back to the airport or the train station.
